What to do with my house and all my stuff before moving

Hi

I need direction. Someone please tell me where to go (e.g. existing thread).

I know where I want to retire and how to live there (I've already spent 2 1/2 years there), but I don't know what to do with our house and all our stuff! I'm not as bad as some Americans, but I have accumulated lots of stuff.

Is there a discussion on storage, renting, property management, etc., in the home country?

Thanks

You should sell out everything and move ahead in your life.

When I moved from Britain, I sold my property on various thematic sites - antiques, used furniture, records. You can also give some of the things to charity.

Check the discussion forums to see what items people who have moved to another country, wish they had brought with them, because they can't be found in the new location, or are prohibitively expensive.

I foolishly lugged my stuff to 3 different countries in my 30 years overseas, and wish I had the money I spent on shipping instead!

I also have similar problems with you. I am planning to sell all of my assets, anyway. Haven't sold all of them, but along with time, I will sell all of them.

Give it all to charity or find a less fortunate family which need things here or there, also maybe try to give certain things to certain organisations (books to the library, pens and papers to a school, clothes to a charity shop and so on).
