" To whom it may concern. Dear Sirs, try to make it quick. I''m an American citizen, hispanic background (Argentinian parents). Have lived all my life, since 2 yrs old (27 now), in NE Brazil. Attending Law School on a Brazilian Law Program. Need to learn english, speak/read/write to advance in my carrer interests (want to do international law, human rights, minority rights) and to find a job. I have relatives in US (Fort Lauderdale), but could live only, as a maximum, one month with this relatives. Need to learn english, but don''t have money to pay private courses (in fact, i only will have money to pay air ticket and Us$ 200,00 for the first month - living with this relatives the first month I won''t need to spend money on housing, only food and personal expenses. I think 200 is enough). My question: are there, in Fort Lauderdale or near, english courses for adults (I think that 6 months is enough to learn, come back and finish my studies, then go again to US to do a masters/PhD - with a scholarship - to study human/minority rights). Also, is there any possibility to get some job that pays for a room rent, food and personal expenses (I cook) speaking only intermediate english? My family can''t help me sending me more money (nor my US relatives). I speak fluently spanish and portuguese. could you help me? If necessary, I could send my resume in english for a potential employer (or part-time employers). What I need is to find a jobs or more than a Job, to pay my expenses and, maybe, come back with some money to help my family (the currency is Us$ 1.00 - R$ 2.5 - local money). Waiting anxiously for your asnwer and advice, I remain yours truly. Sincerely, Gonzalo Salcedo "
