Hi everyone,
I am a Canadian citizen who recently graduated from college (marketing and advertising communications management), and am now looking to take the next step with my girlfriend of 2 1/2 years who lives in Florida. I am just curious if anyone knows which steps I should take to get there the soonest. I am preparing to propose and we will elope at the end of the year. Should I apply for a fiance visa or should i just wait until we're married to get a spousal visa and apply for residency? And tips or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

You have not proposed so there is no engagement. It is best to, after accepted proposal you stay in your country and she applies for a fiancée visa for you.

It would be better to marry or at least get engaged so that your girl friend can apply for fiance visa
