Hi all,

I'll soon be moving from Amsterdam to San Francisco and would need your advice finding a good and economic service to ship my belongings (about 20 boxes), any tip will be appreciated.

You have a good location to use a shipping service, NOT a moving service. Ship a crate or pallet from one port to the other. It costs a 10th as much. You will need to pick up your shipment at the port of Oakland. The customs people are not used to an individual, not a shipper showing up, but I have done it twice. It cost about 100 euro for a meter cubed crate
