I was born in the Manila, Philippines and I have worked in Hong Kong for many years. In 1993, I came to USA as a TOURIST and stayed for 10 months. I didnt think it was the right time for me to live in the US and so I applied for a job with another airline and so I was based in Jeddah. I went back to Hong Kong and I loved it. But needed to go back to MANILA in 2000 (got scared of theMillenium) But I thought, being a single woman, and I went back to the University for more schooling, and led a life on my own, and the village/subdivision where I have some properties were have neighbors who were not used to seeing single female on their own. There was a time that someoen broke into my house, and the tenants who lived in my units have thought they can push me around. I still stayed, until I can not take it anymore, so I went back to hong Kong. I opened a bar and there, I could still go back to Manila every time I need to take care of repairs and maintenance of my properties. I make sure they are well maintained. I love to have foreigner tenants who can pay on time like retired US military people.. I went back to USA because I had a family petition to be an immigrant. I brought everything. I am still keeping my HKG residence . To do that, I fly to ASIA every year. Git married to my loving and very kind husband but he passed away of heart attack and I am thinking of going back to live in MANILA. Last time I was there in Cebu and Manila,. traffic was terrible~!!!! I have to take care of the rental units.(the townhouse is now available for rental if anyone is interested?). :) And hope that things will work out good. Can live both Hong Kong and Manila...(or maybe other parts of the Philippines..?). Dont know yet. I would always complain whilst in Manila..So I wonder if I have to go ahead with my plan of leaving the US.. maybe just have a few weeks/months of vacation here now and again.. I am very international in my ways so I dont know if being in Manila, I will find it really a comfort and be understood. Hmm.. I have a lot of friends in Hong Kong, and that is my only consolation. Manila is cheaper than Hong Kong. Lets see....Have to plan.

Tagaytay, Santa Rosa, Laguna and Cavite are full of expats with restaurants, grocery stores with American products so you won't miss them. Close enough to Manila to check on your properties and to the airport for your 2 hour trip to Hongkong.
