NYC knowledge needed. Getting ready for our move the end of this summer and trying to choose a neighbourhood to live in... The same place keeps coming up for what we are looking for, Brooklyn. I need some Brooklyn knowledge please, what areas, what the commute is like to Chelsea (where office is). We are looking for a community village type, vibe similar to what we have here in West Hamp.

So basically we want a Hampstead/whamp/primrose way of living, but in NYC... I hear good things about Wburg, Park Slope, Fort Greene etc. We love LES but seems like we may be out priced there... Other people talk about upper east/west side in Manhattan? I need insider knowledge. Hook me up people, thanks muchly.
