Hi, I'm looking for input on a couple of things. First, I want to import a Canadian car, a newer model 3 years old. Is there a quick basic summary that anyone can offer? Second, my spouse would not have work authorization, she would be a dependant on mine. Aside from an internet business based out of Canada are there possible options for her to legally make a modest income in the States? Any help is appreciated. I know most of this is available online somewhere, I'm just hoping for replies from those that have jumped through the hoops already.

...strictly legal is a catchy phrase...there are many ways to make a little ..or a lot.. of extra cash, Facebook buy and sell pages are always a good way to buy and resell things...using Craigs list or Ebay...or Amazon. Handy in the kitchen..?? sell snack, meals, or cater to small functions via facebook pages...it is fairly easy to build a reputation in a locality and have regular clients. for such things. Learn to fly below the radar and many opportunities come by....Tutoring is a good way to make a few bucks, as well...no credentials required.

That's good info. We're actually leaving Mexico, but not to get away from Mexicans but to get away from the higher risk life that exists here. Being around other nationalities or cultures doesn't bother me. Florida is beautiful for sure, but I couldn't afford the insurance when I lived there for a short time.
