I am searching for affordable co housing in Western States in the US. Hopefully in a nice weather state. It all seems to be highly priced. I am retired want to find a community to live in. Does anyone know of one please?

Hi the west coast is expensive, have you looked at Florida, there are many retirement communities there. Are you an American citizen?

Hi Teresa!

I wish you luck in your house search. I recommend using Furnishr.com for your move. They will work with your personal preferences to design a customized interior for you. I used them and can tell you that they are a truly superior service!

Yes I am an American citizen. I am an artist, I have been doing research trying to find ARTIST communities in the US. I know the West is most expensive IF I found an artist community I would sacrifice other choices.

I AM in C Rica now. I have been here 3 months. I was here many years ago. This has changed immensely. I am not ready to live here permanently. Unsafe, luck of infrastructures, etc. I am going back home. I am a retireee and I need safety.

I have looked at Flda. All the co housing or retirement communities in the US are highly priced. start price in the East 250+ west 300+ At my age, I am not ready to do this. I am now looking for up scale trailer parks. Hopefully Artist Communities, since that is what I am. Thanks for your help

Thank you. I don't feel safe there. I really want peace of mind . Of course one can be unsafe anywhere nowadays, this is an unfortunate reality. But I rather try American mentality at this stage in life. I am an American citizen returning home after many years in Europe.
I wish to find others like me, I sam an artist.

Hi Teresa. Im a Brit , my wife is an American watercolour artist. we both lived around the world , recently Belize and St Lucia. We sold our homes in Belize and Texas and moved to the natural coast because theres so much art going on .St Pete is a mecca for artists and theres some great double wide communities starting at around $80k in the Tampa bay area, we love it here, were actually in Weeki Wachee. Good luck . By the way the wife also lived in Col. and Cal

Hi Teresa. Yes St P . not had a bad hurricane in 40 yrs one went up the east coast last yr we had a bad storm but it just drizzled all day. We are in our 70's but dont like retirement communities and would never live in one. the area we live in is incredibly safe crime is under 1% . the weather is wonderful went swimming in our outdoor pool for the first time this yr. there are so many art socs here and my wife also makes jewelry out of glass and gold and silver wires. The whole area has some of the best med. facilities in America. we feel totally safe we could live anywhere in America or Europe but chose here. Rob
