We're going to be putting together an article entitled, 10 Tips for Living in Namibia, and we need your help. Please post a reply to this thread with as many tips as you'd like (or as few) for expats living in Namibia. Whether you're a newcomer yourself or a seasoned expats whose lived abroad for many years, share your favorite tips for expats living in Namibia. If you want to discuss or expand upon someone elses tip, feel free! We'll use your posts to compile the articles.

1. Have sun Screen
2. Be creative with entertainment coz there's not much to do, especially outside the Capital.
3. It is wise to start a vegetable garden...beware though, water's precious here!
4. Be prepared to drive long distances to visit other towns.
5. Use water wisely!!!
6. Beware that cellphone & TV networks can be pretty bad in some areas of the country.
7. Do not hand money street beggers, buy them food instead.
8. Visit Etosha and Soussus Vlei Nature reserves & Ai-ai hot springs...
9. Be alert for animals on the roads.
10. Enjoy the serenity and simple life! :)
