Namaste!
I'm planning to moving to Nepal for a season. I know, as a foreigner, I'm not able to buy a property there, so I'm needing some advices to know where is the best place to adress to get reliable information, in order to rent or lease a flat, a house, or even get a trasfer to run a hostel for a season. Can anybody offer further information? I'll be very grateful. Thank you!

Dear Franco,
there are some opportunities here in Pokhara. I have to look around for you and ask my Nepalese friends downtown. Yet I do not think that anyone gives you chance for a lease for just one season. First you have to make up your mind how long a season is in your eyes. The next season starts already around 15 September and ends with New Years Festival week in from January 1 till 7. Next season is shorter and is from 15 March till first week mMay. Rain season is about from Mid -May till Mid September and the income at that time is very low if not as good as zero. So lodges, restaurants, tourist rsorts run only a good income in the two said Seasons outside the rain season. Usually owners of any establishment ask two full years advance in rent...lease is something for longer between 3 an 5 and up to 7 years.

Dear Grandpayeti,
Thank you so much for your very useful and valuable information. And sorry for the misundarstood, when I've said 'for a season' I meant for an undefined lapse of time, it could be two, three or even four years. I'll be very very grateful if you can get further information,
I'm travelling to Pokhara next month to do my own enquiry "in situ", I'll be there with my fiancee from September 13th till early October and. Can you advice me where to adress in Pokhara to ask for more info such as prices, conditions, legal matters, paper works, etc? Can you advice also a real estate in Pokhara to ask it, otherwise can you recommend me an owner of a property who want to rent/lease a hostel?
Maybe we can meet each other in your town. Thank you very much in advance. Warm regards from Spain.

Franco
