I'm in Kathmandu for the summer, coming from the US, and also looking for a room or apartment to rent or share - have you had any luck finding anything? Anyone else reading this have any advice on apartment-hunting in Kathmandu?

I've had no luck so far finding anything around Patan. Most things I've found have been around Lazimpat.

Depending on how long you're in KTM for, would you possible be interested in sharing a flat? I'm here until Feb/March 11.

Hi James,

I just looked at a beautiful 2-bedroom apartment in Pulchowk - it's on the pricy side (40,000 for the whole thing), but it's big and fully furnished, and includes hot water, internet (it even has a computer), 24-hour electricity, etc, and has a washing machine and a big kitchen. And a bunch of balconies. I'm in touch with one other person looking for a place as well, if one of you is interested in sharing I think I'm willing to pay a little extra for a nice place.
