I have a couple of options to which I can obtain a work visa via an attorney for a somewhat expensive fee.
Is there someone who would consider signing me into their company or perhaps you know of someone who would consider doing this/
I would greatly appreciate it. Jeff

First off I am curious what "somewhat expensive" is. Keep in mind getting a visa this way is illegal and can come back to haunt you. I know people here that use illegal ways of getting a visa and for some it works. Some have had trouble renewing or been asked for an even more expensive fee each time they renew. Once you are in this cycle its hard to get out. As for someone signing you onto their business its not that easy. Any job where a foreigner is hired must be posted in the news paper and offered to a Nepalease worker first. Once that is done they need to show cause for not hiring a Nepalease worker and opting for a foreigner. This takes time and money. By the time you do either it is easier to get a business visa. If you have about $100 a month you can get an NGO to write a letter saying you are a volunteer and you can get that visa. This is the most expensive visa you can get. A simple business is all you need. it costs about $1200 for an attorney to do all the approval work. After that they can manage the VAT filings and you only pay the visa fee which is under $400 a year. They just raised it so I'm not sure exactly what the busniess visa costs per year is but it is the least expensive one available.

Thanks for getting back to me! I would much rather stay away from potential problems in the future. I have been quoted 1500 by an attorney where I just sign papers and that is it. I probably wouldn't even know what company it was. Immigration suggested that I pay 2000 for the first year and that the next year may be cheaper. I would rather support an NGO with a 100 per month for the first year just to make sure that I am on the right track. So far I have been here for 6 months and I have til may before I would have to leave the country. I have lived in different places and the people here are outstanding! Can you suggest or put me in touch with an NGO that I can contact? Thanks again for answering. Jeff
