Hi Everyone!
I arrived in Pokhara yesterday to start a 10-month volunteer placement. I am keen to rent a room in a house or apartment near Damside for my stay. I am looking for a place with solar hot water and back-up power. I'm keen on a sharehouse arrangement but not too fussed.
If anyone knows if there is anything available please let me know.
Thanks!
Rahul

Hello again, Here are some extra details on my stay: I came here from Australia to work with the Jyoti Vocational Training Centre (a CWSN programme). They are located about 15mins walk south of Birauta. I am looking to pay a maximum of 5000-6000 NPR/month in rent, but willing to negotiate based on the place. Thanks, Rahul

Hi Paula,
Yes, I found a place yesterday actually. Sorry I can't help out.
Just a bit of advice, if you're only here for a short time it can be hard to find furnished places so maybe consider a guest house arrangement. If you're here long-term then furnishing your own place shouldn't be too much of a drama.
Good luck with the house-hunt!
Cheers, Rahul
p.s. Does anyone know how to delete a thread?

Hi Paula,
Yep, got the private note but I'm also unsure of whether my reply sent properly. Thanks for the message. Where are you volunteering?
I found a place yesterday actually. Sorry I can't help on that front but I'll ask my room-mate if they know of anything.
Just a heads up, it can be tough at times to find a furnished place here so depending on how many months you are staying it might be worth looking at a guest house.
Good luck with the house-hunt!
Cheers, Rahul
