Hi,

actually I am in the same position. But you said that it is easy to find volunteering offer. Can you suggest anything? Maybe you know some place where they need two volunteers next year autumn (me and my wife)?

We are going to stay as volunteers approx for 2 months. Yes. But usually these organizations want horrible money for being volunteer? Do you know some non-profit organizations? Or is this possible, that I come to Nepal, and already there in Nepal, start to search for such volunteering option?

most organisations especially schools have the voluteers pay to voluteer. This is a profit center for them. Its like voluntourism. There are others that dont charge but are expecting a donation. I live in KTM full time. I have been here for nearly two and a half years. Getting a paid job is not easy. Foreigners can not be hired unless they can show that a Nepalese person could not do the job. They will have to post in the news paper offering the job to the public for a period of time before you can be hired. It is possible but not easy. You may want to contact large INGOs not local NGOs and see what they have to offer. HELP Nepal is good and Maiti Nepal is good. Maiti is mostly Nepali ran so you probably wont get in there but its worth a try. Good luck

Do you know maybe any volunteer organization which doesn't charge but requires donation? Do you have any contact to such organization? Or maybe you know the name? Thanks.
