This Christmas, buy gifts that give back. Fair Trade Group Nepal and GIZ are jointly organizing a Christmas Bazaar with the support of the German Embassy. This full day event is great for the whole family to enjoy and get a head start on Christmas shopping. It will also support local Nepali organizations who are improving the livelihoods of marginalized people through providing fair wages, good working conditions, and economic opportunities. You can stroll through the stalls showcasing fair trade Nepali handicrafts and watch artisans at work making pottery, weaving carpets and more. There are also activities for kids to play with block prints, get their faces painted, and make origami. If you need a break from all the shopping, you can enjoy Nepali and international food, along with authentic German mulled wine.
