There are 4 big retail banks in NZ, each with branches all over the place, and ATMs too. All are owned by Australian companies. All are competitive. Take your pick. "services both ways" is not completely clear to me. You can get a Visa or Mastercard from any bank, and use ones from the US as well. But there are significant service charges and Forex rate was still pretty unfavorable last time I looked. I bring funds in to NZ in blocks by international wire. It's a hassle with the new rules pushed by the US, but can be done either direction. Can be a bit slow, though. Call a bank on and tell 'em what you need.
