" My husband and I would like to gain information on how to spend three months in Norway. May 13th - Aug. 13th beginning year 2002. We are not looking for a job, just travel and relaxation. The location would be ""Western Norway"" in a community called Sandane. Would like to rent a small cabin or house (furnished) and use this as our base. Maybe someone would like to exchange their home for ours. We live in Denver - large home close to mountains. We have been to Norway 12 times and we host tours of Norway during the months of July or August. I have cooked in Norway during the month of July - for Camp Norway in Sandane, so familiar with Norwegian food. Need to know - are we taxed on our pension, social security at the rate of Norwegian taxes? How do we handle the money aspects in Norway. Have already read up on a car being transported to Norway - you can forget that!! We would use their public transportation and rent a car. I could go on and on - just need the basics. House-money-fishing and fun. Tusen takk Kingpins "

" huh, found this one on taxes:
Persons staying in Norway for more than six months are for tax purposes considered residents in Norway and are subject to unlimited Norwegian taxation pursuant to section 15 (1) a, cf section 17 (2). The tax liability according to internal law may be limited in tax conventions with other states. "
