Requesting advice: American moving to Norway

Had met and fallen in love with a Norwegian and after three years of long distanced I have offered to marry her and move there. My concern is getting married and then filing all the paperwork but if it gets declined, well then we are married and apart. I've heard the USA doesn't give up its citizens easily. What could hold me up if I did move forward with this marriage? Any advice would be great. Thx

If she loves you, why can't she move to the US? YOU probably don't speak Norwegian so how are YOU going to thrive in Norway? She will probably speak good English and the $US she will earn in the US will be worth more than the increasingly worthless Norwegian Kroner you will earn in Norway ... where you are unlikely to get a skilled job. The best book on the subject is this one. Buy it and read it. If you are making life-changing decisions by asking for free advice at places like this, you will ruin your life.
