Moving to Bergen from Australia with 2 kids

Hi all, we are going to move to Bergen w/ 2 children (5 and 8) and was curious about schooling, esp. public school. Would it be too much to enroll the kids into public school given the language issue? We don't speak Norwegian but will learn as much as we can before we go. Thanks!

The children will get 1-1 in the class to help them but it will be a shock to them. I enrolled my oldest daughter into the International School where everything is taught in English, except Norwegian lessons. We did look at public schools in the area but thought it would be too much and my girls both speak Norwegian. My girls are 8 & 3
Hope this helps
