HI there. Im now living there as of a couple of months. A 32 yr old female, I work in tourism and also in property.
Housing is hard to find, if you want to buy, I may be able to help but if requiring renting, let me know also.
There is lots to do and see in Oman. I work at Gulf Leisure and we offer alsorts of tours and trips all over this beautiful country so mail me at lucy@gulfleisure.com for more info on that. Have a look at our website.
There are lots of expats out here so you will not be bored!

My husband maybe accepting a position in Muscat. Can you pls give any info as to accomodation costs, which areas expats tend to live ... we would be interested in a furnished apartment or villa. Are there any compounds in Muscat??? We used to live in Saudi where expats tend to live in furnished compounds. Any info regarding accomodation and related costs would be appreciated. Thx

Hiya,
I'm Canadian too and wonder if you could help me out...looking for an overview of what it's like to live in Oman. Is it a strict Muslim situation? We're not big partiers (2 kids) but Hubby does enjoy his Stella at the weekends. :)
Is Muscat a good place to live with Kids?
Please feel free to email me at bethnywening@hotmail.com if you have any info!
Thanks in advance,
Beth :)
