Hi - I will be relocating to Muscat to work in late March. I'm a married female, but will be coming alone as my husband is staying in the UK.
I echo some of the questions already asked about things for women to do re: socialising, etc.
But more specifically - is it true that I need a "letter of no objection" from my husband in order to get an Oman driving licence?
Also, as a working woman will I be able to buy alcohol and get a liquor licence? I've read lots of unclear things about women buying alcohol.
Any other useful tips always welcome - like finding somewhere to live!!
Thanks!

Hi, myself, husband and two children are moving to Oman in a few weeks for my husband's job. Can anyone advise if it makes more sense to bring our furniture with us and spend the money on shipping or buy out there and store our furniture here? I'd really appreciate this advise as I've no idea what to take....thanks SJEB
