Hi, we have been offered a job in Oman but finding it difficult to find any online resources to establish costs of housing (eg 3 bed furnished villa or apartment), schooling (eg britsh or US), vehicles (eg Toyota Landcruiser) and food, electricity etc.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Is 4000 per month a good expat salary?

3 bedroom around 400 per month

School around 3000 per year

Toyota Land cruiser starts from 18000 to 28000 << brand new

yes 4000 is enough

The rent of the house/villa/apartment depends on the area where it is located. I can guess max-min for a furnished house with 3 bedrooms will cost you 700-1300 RO/month. Regarding the vehicle you have many options, either you take on lease which means the company going to take all the expenses for services and maintenance and which cost you around 300-400 RO/month, or you can buy the vehicle on cash or instalment. For Toyota Land Crouse cash it will be around 20,000 RO. Regarding School, there is a British-American school in Madina Qaboos area.
