I am an American expat moving to Oman for a job. I was curious about what to expect? Are there places to hang out? Is there an expat community? How conservative is it? How hot is it? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi i am french and ill be moving to Oman as well in few weeks for wrok. i will only stay for 2 months. i have been there already 3 times for few days but dont know how is it like for a few months stay.if you want to talk let me know.
