" I have a few questions about Pakistani cultural customs, for a project I am doing. What is a typical way of greeting in PAkistan? (handshake, kiss, etc) What is the ""personal space"" for a discuccion (face to face, lots of space etc.) How is merchandise usually sold: across a counter, after drinking tea, bargaining etc. Thanks for any help! -KAri "

" To shakehands n hugs b/w similar genders is a warm way to reflect love n greetings in pakistan''s culture n social customs.Personal space 4 discussion both face 2 face n via other medium do exists, but not in every social stratum n class, low literacy rate is major mis4tune.Big bargain levels occur in pakistan both in urban n tourist places as in most of cosmopolitan, major cities n tourist places everywhere in the world. No price check system is implied and/or successfull in pakistan from authorities over merchandising. If you are a man you don't shake hands with a women. A women will hug women, elder people will place thier hand on top of your head. when you greet people you say Asalaam Alikum, and in reply to someone saying that to you, you reply wa laykum as salam. As for merchandise, it is sold in shops and an market stalls.
