Hi, I was wondering if you made any friends in karachi? i think you are very brave to move their, i was only there for 1 month but it was long enough. i couldn't get used to the dust and dirt, my husband is also pakistani, i am british. i would like to know how you have adapted, for now we have no plans of visiting but who knows in the future!

Hiya L Armstrong My husband and I (he's British Pakistani and i am English) are thinking of moving to Pakistan. His family are in Islamabad and we will stay with them for a while before deciding if we will be moving there to live. Hubby only been to pakistan once in 1990 when he was 18 and stayed for 8 months before finding it boring not having someone with him during the day. We are drawn to living in Karachi as we currently live by the sea in the UK. We are lucky in that our circumstances mean we don't have to find work there. Just have to decide where to live and build a home. Did you experiance any problems being a white lady whilst you were there? You mentioned not being able to cope with the dirt and dust - is this a problem in the city itself?
