I am curious to know who I can be connected with in Karachi when I move there for marriage.
I know the culture, how to dress, and how to act, but I am afraid of the anti-american sentiment in Pakistan.
I was told to claim to be Canadian but looking for a job is hard when I cannot lie about my country of origin.
Any suggestions?

Anti-american sentiments in Pakistan is a fact, if you can fix your self in our culture, people may not ask you about your origin country, I am never questioned about my origin country is a proof. Just in case you should better keep your self limited to your community. You can find American community, schools and many more in Pakistan.

anti american sentiment is not that much what is portrayed in media, people in Pakistan are mostly not concerned to other westerns specially neitther will try to harm or interfere with them but good and bad people are in every community, Like in US you know well how many racist and street crimes are held, but in Pakistan this thing is much more highlighted by the western media , although problem still exists but not as its showcased, well if you want to know any kind of info regarding moving and settling in Pakistan, you're free to ask I'll be glad to give you any piece of support or info.
