Moving from UK to Pakistan - need help finding work

Hi,
I recently travelled to Pakistan and loved every second of it and am actively looking to move there permanently.

My parents were both born in Pakistan but I was born and bred in UK but have been constantly visiting since I was a child.

I understand the culture and way of life in Pakistan and won't have any issues living there, however, the only problem I am finding is that I am struggling to find any decent jobs.

I have no real specialist area, as I graduated in BSc Building Surveying 3 years ago but did not go into the field. Instead, I have got experience in Sales, Customer Service, Security and Claims Management. However, I am interested in any work that may be appropriate and has a reasonable salary.

Please could you offer me any advice on this matter.

Thank You

Hi, I am in a similar situation to you as I've always wanted to move to Pakistan. When I graduated from university I spent 1 year looking for work but couldn't get anything. Now I work in Corporate Security and still looking at ways to live and work in Pakistan with a similar type of salary that I am earning here but it is very difficult.

The only way I see someone comfortably moving to Pakistan is if someone has qualifications and experience within engineering. I would personally love to work as a Corporate Security Officer but such a field in Pakistan does not exist.

Hi
I understand that making a move back to Pakistan is not an easy one as I also made the same move a few years ago.
However I can say that there are plenty of opportunities for you here especially in the private sector. The real estate and construction sector is booming. Bahria Town is one example and there are other developers too. The only problem is that as you mentioned you don't have any relevant experience you should be willing to start from scratch. Otherwise you can also look for opportunities in BPOs, Touchstone, Abacus, SNL Financials to name a few.
Finally, you'll need some references too as looking for jobs through proper channel won't prove to be fruitful.

Teach English in a language school. There are online tesol courses you can do or I did a teaching ielts course from the Manchester central school of English. It's a four day course for 250 pounds

Try learning software development. Its not as difficult as engineering. You can take a short course where you are, or If you have a place to stay in Pakistan with relatives, you could take a software training and certification in Pakistan.
