My wife and I want to try Panama out for a year before deciding amoung Panama, Costa Rica or Mexico for retirement. Where would be a good place to live, on a 12 month rental, to get to know the country.
Also, we would appreciate stories of people who have retired to Panama on cost of living, health care or any subject you feel important

Hi! We are in the process of retiring and moving to Panama. We have done a lot of research and been looking for 5 years.
Check out my website (http://www.whypanama.com) and contact me.
We did the same thing.

Dear Cabo1 Good for you. Excellent site. We are Central America Language Tours and will see you all down in Panama February of 2004. Do you happen to know a Good Tour Operator there with excellent local guides to whom I can outsource clients? With TACA & COPA internal Central American prices not like it used to be to fly down from Salvador anytime and TICA Bus is 3.5 Days
