Hi, Could someone tell me the best place to buy furniture and appliances for Panama City Condo. Someone told me Colon is a lot cheaper. Also interested in used items from Expats moving.
Thanks, Jim G

Hi!
I have heard that Colon is cheaper since it is "Duty Free", but that is if you are exporting stuff out of Panama.
We just moved here 3 months ago to the El Valle region.
We purchased all of our appliances at Casa Gala in El Dorado (by the McDonalds and down the street from the Do-It Center). We checked out 4 different places before purchasing them there. Look at their ads in the paper on Friday and Saturday.
Some of our furniture we purchased from Econo Precios (www.econoprecios.com) They have 3 floors of furniture only. We purchased a bedroom set and a couple of wicker sets for outside. I just purchased a 3 piece living room set from Penonomee yesterday and had it delivered today. Real nice stuff - but it would NOT be worth the trip from Panama City.

The store claims they do not do this.....we need a whole housefull delivered. Also, have you found anything in David ? Appliances, furniture etc. ? Appreciate ny ideas.....Rod
