I have not seen anyone post anyting about this so I will. Panama has just started a new program here that will cover your cost of health care while your here as a tourist. you must sign up for it at the airport when you enter the country thou, so be sure to ask where you need to go to sign up for that. While you are here you are our guest and if you get sick we cover your cost to get well.

Close, but not entirely on the mark. They will cover EMERGENCY health care and up to 30 days. Need to read the fine print, as always..More information here and on the web:
