I would like to relocate to Panama this year and I am in need of honest opinions and referrals. Single with no kids and verifiable income from VA and Social Security. Would like to live no further then 2hrs radius from Panama City. Need of 3 bedroom home, 1 or 2 bathrooms, decent size areas. Is this possible for less then $200K? Hit me up folks and give me the real scope down there. Nice areas plz

FIRST start here http://www.encuentra24.com/panama-en/classifieds this will show you areas, and homes in that area and what prices you are going to pay. keep in mind that this whole country has around 3 million people living in it, and most of those live in panama city. two hour aways will put you around the anton area. we have beaches and mountains. but not a lot of single women like in the city. homes here in the 200k range can be found, but most will not have a acre of land with it. unless your out in the back 40. you can buy a nice condo on the beach in that range, not sure your going to get a 3 bedroom for that thou, one yes.

Honey, y'all need to read this book, first! Make a really informed decision, if I might be so bold.

Yes, but add 'THE Truth about Panama". Too many people give advice based on real estate, etc.
Cheers,

Excellent advice on the book and you may also want to read the excellent info with factual data on the following web page:

http://bhavatitdhyan.wordpress.com/the-sad-truth-about-panama/

Its important that you make your decision based on good solid education about life in the country of your choice and not on personal views through rose colored glass.
Good luck!

Thank you everyone for you'r inputs. @802, the site was very good thank you. @cps, need listings and postings/pics from Cocle and Anton area plus Brisas de Golf if possible thank you. @Shele, I am 39 yrs old single American born Latino male. I lived in Panama back in the mid 90's at Ft. Kobbee during my Uncle Sam years but never really adventured outside the PCity, Colon area except carnival time. I am laid back now and enjoy living away from crowded depressing looking areas. I also enjoy living the quiet life but would like the option to mingle with people in a nice setting once in a while and maybe dance a little. lol I live in a nice home now in Pennsylvania and live comfortable, but Panama and my heart has been calling me back for years. All I want is a nice size home for under $200k! Just peace and my music equipment is all I need, the rest is extra;) Boquete? Plz by all means email me at ojp_100@hotmail.com and give me the low down! Thank you everyone! Plz send pics and avg. pricing on 2-3 bedroom home! No dives plz because I have taste!
