Greetings. Been looking to move to the Volcan area myself. Fodor's publishes a good travel book and can also be accessed online at www.fodors.com/. The Natural Solutions Foundation (www.naturalsolutionsfoundation.org/) has an interesting farm and visitor center in Volcan. You may want to check it out. Also, International Living Magazine an their online site may be another good source of information that you may want to explore. As always, the Expat Exchange, is a fantastic source of on-the-ground info. Gene www.internationalliving.com/.

I lived in Volcan for a while. I thought about buying another place there but have changed my mind. Try Volcan community forum on Yahoo for some up to date information.

If you are visiting Volcan there are some good places like NSF to hang out and meet other expats. Mana's, Daily's diner, to name a few. Mana's does a Friday morning market that I like to go to when I visit. Jorge and Vicky are great hosts and the food at their restaurant is very good. NSF is interesting especially if Dr. Rima and the General are in town.
