Yes, there are many of them. Boquete is a destination location to all manner of hotel, apartment, casita, cabina, or rooms available, with and without pools and exercise locations. New ones appear every week it seems..........

Hi,

In an earlier post, you mentioned staying by the ocean. Just wanted to let you know that Boquete is a mountain town. It is very beautiful. In December, you will be near the end of the rainy season and headed into the dry season. Because of the elevation the humidity is never too bad there.

If you are just looking to stay in a hotel in Boquete, I would suggest Isla Verde (http://www.islaverdepanama.com/) because it is is within walking distance to most things. It is also a unique property and expat owned.

If you need help with finding areas to stay by the ocean, please send me an email at [email protected]

Thank you!

Isla Verde is one of the least safe and secure places to stay in all of Boquete. A great deal of petty crime there, purses snatched, wallets stolen from rooms, it is not recommended by those of us who live here. They don't offer the Jubilado discount either which is against the law but they continue anyway. The people there believe they are above the law. There are much better places to stay in Boquete than that place.

Panama James - we have never had any problems there. We have over 13 people in our tour groups stay there every month and none of them have had any issues.

She asked for something unique.

There are plenty of other places they could stay in Boquete but not all of them are within walking distance to things and/or unique. The further out from the town square they are the more cabs they have to take to do exploring. And they don't want a traditional hotel either it sounds like.
