Yoga/gym availability

My husband and I have property in Playa Las Lajas. We will build as soon as we can sell our Idaho cabin. Anyway, I'm an exercise enthusiast. Is yoga or CrossFit available in David or Boquete? Is being a teacher of one of these disciplines considered a job that Panamanians could not fill, or are they plenty of opportunities? I know there is nothing like this in Las Lajas.
Thank you, Kim B-L

There are many Yoga teachers in Boquete, probably more than in David. As for CrossFit, probably none. I have always said that if you want a job, just go and get it. If there is a Yoga teacher there already, have a better price, or more convenient hours, or something that will attract the crowd that you need. Apply your skills to seniors who are moving to Boquete almost every day.

Las Lajas is isolated. It´s a nice beach area, probably the best, but you won´t be able to survive in business there, unless you wanted to open up a place comparable to the Las Lajas Beach Resort. Now there, to me, is a 5 star business that hasn´t been rated yet. A restaurant that can´t be beat. Gorgeous beach on the ocean, nice pool and grounds. Comfortable large rooms with big screen modern RCA TV´s where you can bring your memory sticks filled with movies and TV shows to watch. It is everything that you need when going on a holiday. it is Boquete´s home away from home, and I always seem to find Boquete people there when visiting. It is starting to grow in that area, but very slowly. Snails pace in fact. Lots of activity on the entrance road ways to the town of Las Lajas, just across the highway from San Felix. It is an up and comer area, to be sure. A little off the beaten path. As John Denver would say............ Ït´s far out...............
