I'm planning on retiring to Panama in Sept. 2016. I've been having such a hard time finding long term rentals! I'm a single woman who would like a beach front condo in Coronado with atleast 1 bedroom, ocean view, elevator building with security and air conditioning. I'm hoping to stay between $800-$1000 until I decide to purchase something and I would need a min. of 1-2yr firm lease term. Can anyone give me some suggestions or tell me where I might find the best website to find these long term property leases? I'd be sooooooo grateful!!

Good luck in your search, we will be in the same boat in Boquete as soon as our house in the states sells.
We have been scouring any source out there about rentals but after much reading have come to understand that this is best used as background info.
It seems the best way to find a great rental at a good price is boots on the ground.
When our house sells we will come to Boquete for a month and while we are there look for a permanent rental.

September 2016 is still a while off with many developments currently under construction.
I would suggest contacting a few real estate agents in the area a few months before you arrive so that they can present you with what they have at that time or they will look out for properties and inform you as something comes available.
Google search "Coronado Panama real estate" or "rental in Coronado Panama" and when browsing properties on the real estate websites you may have more luck expanding your search to include the areas of Gorgona, Coronado, Punta Barco, San Carlos, El Palmar and Rio Mar. It is about a 15 minute drive from Gorgona to Rio Mar with Coronado in the middle.
