My wife and I are looking to purchase good quality furniture in or around Panama City. I’m not familiar with local stores or brands so any help would be appreciated. Also it needs to be able to withstand the high humidity and temperatures.

Multiplaza mall: living concepts 2nd floor, Stevens. On via espana there are other furniture stores too across super market el rey.

We purchased our furniture at Tempo and Furniture City. We used Conway for housewares, decorative items, etc.

We have very upscale, expensive imported lounge chairs, dining tables, bedroom sets etc. Sold our apt and must sell cheap before closing deal. Contact [email protected]

I too recommend Tempo Design with several locations in PTY. They have a website where you can check out the styles. Just be aware that the listed web price is not what you'll pay - everything is negotiable in Panama. We got from 25-60 % off on everything we purchased, and our sales assistant was as good as a decorator in suggesting groupings and scale when we showed her our floor plans.. Also be aware that furniture will not last as long as it does in more temperate climates - forget keeping a sofa for 20 years like we did in Canada. Good luck!

I would start with Furniture City and then move on from there, there are a lot of boutique places that are very pricey but the furniture is good. My favorite place is in Multiplaza Mall under PF Changs, its like Crate and Barrel/Pottery Barn and the same price as those stores ($$$)

There is an Ashley furniture on the road from downtown and the PC airport. Going from downtown, it is on the right
