6 yrs ago I posted this article on another Panama based site. http://panamacentric.com/panama/articles/monorails-are-for-disney-no.html The last govt was more concerned in collecting their 10%, but now the idea appears to be coming into play with the Japanese accord with Panama for line 3 of the metro system. slowly getting into the 21st century here :) Rik

Sad to say this country bumpkin hasn't ridden the Metro yet but I hear it's great. Maybe next week. It's sorely needed, that's for sure.

I ride the Metro tren every day to and from work. It saves me hours of time. My only complaint is that they took out half the seats.

Or U could use adblock like I do so never even saw them.
Useless info?.. maybe to you but if you bothered to click on the links in the article you could have got a lot of good info on monorail systems that are working in other countries.
The plus points I mentioned in the article do relate to Panama. Like crims stealing the nuts that held 1 of the footbridges over the cintera costera road in place. Same with manhole covers, its good iron for machine shops and has a value so they get stolen. Concrete is less of a target.
anyways......... no point in arguing. Lets just agree to differ.

@ missinglink thanks but no thanks for the offer to start a site. not interested in that. thanks for bringing it to my attention. Ads can be annoying, sometimes you have to be able to be open and listen to your readers being annoyed by ads, that way you don't see a high bounce rate on people coming in and leaving your site b/c of annoying ads. Google does not like people coming in and out and not hanging out in your site.....of course you wouldn't care to know all that information....but I just gave it you.
