Yes, a return ticket out of Colombia.......and unless the car is entrusted to someone who is being paid to look after it, I wouldnt do it.....I did it some years ago here in David, and regretted it.........didnt know that Canadians have to pay $80 for a visa in Col..............

We just did a Medellin vacation last month. We just used our bank cards to take out local currency. It's very cheap so you will not use as much money as you might think. We leave our vehicle at the David airport for weeks with never a problem but I don't know about Chitre. Have fun

I have left my car at the airport in David at least a dozen times for as long as 3 weeks and never had a problem. I didn't know that Colombia charged Canadians a tax. I have been to Medellin 5 times during the past year and never paid anything but I was travelling on a Panamanian passport.
