My wife and I will be moving to the Bocas soon. I know the rules of owning a business in Panama. I.E. You can own a business but you must hire local Panamains. I got all that. What I want to know from the Expats who live in Bocas is what do they need in the form of goods and services. I love micro small business and will be looking for income opportunities. Something that can done under the radar, so to speak. Any ideas out there? What say you? Thanks, John

I was wondering. What if I don't need employees? I do SEO and web design services for local businesses. Can you foresee any problems with the government, for a small business like that?

Hi, You can contact my son Jeff Catalano, who has been a small business owner in Bocas. He also is involved with Plastic Bottle Village there and just moved into the first home built. His e-mail address is jcoverstand7@gmail.com. He and wife Justine have been there four years. Good Luck!
