I searched for my question and found a thread mostly about stray dogs in Panama. We are considering/planning a move to Pedasi and would bring our 2 year old golden retriever. He loves to swim and I am wondering if dogs are allowed on the beaches or if it's frowned upon officially or unofficially in any way? We clean up after him and he's a well-behaved boy. Thanks!

Not a problem, I take my golden and yellow lab to the beach often. As long as they are not being a nuisance you don't have to worry

Dogs are on the beach all the time where I live, and mine loves to go. There are no dog catchers or rules

Agree with Ricobreeze and unfortunately the owners do not clean after their pets....Yuk. I include expats. Have seen it in Coronado.

When I walk the beach, I always carry a bag and pick up all the pieces broken glass that I find. (I do not bring glass containers to the beach myself) One would hope that dog owners would possess the responsibility, courtesy and dignity to clean up after their own pets; and perhaps help with the strays.

Agreed Jazzman, I clean up after my dogs, But I think we are in the minority. Too many people and not just in Panama seem to think that they can do what ever they wish and not take any personal responsibility and that the rest of the world exists only to wipe their asses for them.
