I am a citizen of "the greatest country in the world"...and getting greater each moment, hahaha.?? I visited Panama 4 weeks ago and had no issue with re-entry. Then I was elsewhere in the Carribean last week and again, no problems with re-entry. But I do have Global Entry, so...may not be the best comparison. I also don't have an Islamic sounding name. However, a friend traveling with us does have such a name and he had no issues with re-entry. Also, we had someone with us with a permanent US visa, who had no problems. That's all encouraging, I suppose.

@Lamastus and @Glockdiver:

Hahahahahaha ))))) Thanks for making me laugh.

Normally, I would shove your responses into my garbage-can, But, since you seem to be so misinformed about your own country, allow me to enlighten you:

YES, your president is a retarded donkey. And the fact that someone like that could ever become president of a country is testament to the mental capacity of its citizens (..........by which I mean YOU)

the US is the butt of every joke in existence now. Your country is the laughing stock of every other country on the planet.

Everyone out there --- NOT just Canadians --- thinks that you are a ridiculous.

I understand your frustrations. And the reasons for your sense of hopelessness :=)))))))))))

But.............er.............it's not MY fault :=))))

So, once again; thanks for the humor.

And, now, kindly exit my post. My question is intended for a specific group of individuals (which I clearly stated)

I know I'm going to kick myself for jumping in here, but ....

First, I was curious why you chose to post here your specific question about crossing in/out of the U.S when this forum has always been about being in panama. Though there is the all too often thread about boarder hopping in/out of CR to stay legal here. Then it hit me ... the post had to be for attention!

The liberal media has skewed our new president to a point I'm not sure there will be a return. That said, these are his accomplishments thus far, and I'm sure there's more, but I've been away from the news recently ...
1. More than 700k jobs in 1 month secured.
2. Billion dollar companies coming back to US. Foreign companies investing in US business.
3. Dow Jones at its highest in history.
4. Our borders becoming secure from terrorist threats.
5. Postponed WW3 with russia.
6. On his way to building a better health insurance system than ACA.
7. Created open dialogue with business CEOs no other POTUS ever has within the walls of the WH.
8. Cut billions from Gov spending and unnecessary contracts

I'm sure the list goes on, and he accomplished all of this within 1 month of his presidency.. "ONE MONTH." When was the last time you saw a president or PM that managed to get all of that done in 8 years???

I know he's not readily liked by a lot of people, but even a blind man can see his accomplishments have surpassed Obama and I believe they will continue to surprise Americans as time goes on. Stay away from the media for a few weeks and try reading whitehouse.gov and other Gov web sights for political news.

When the son of Muhammed Ali is detained for hours at the airport - just one example among many - it is clear the OPs question is legit - although admittedly this is likely the wrong forum for discussing that issue.

But never suggest Trump is anything other than a moronic self-aggrandizing liar if you want to be taken seriously.

Neither the judiciary nor the press is corrupt. They may have failings from time to time but they are the pillars of the deocracy and the first to fall in a rising dictatorship. Turkey ring a bell? If pillar of your so-called democracy is corrupt it is an executive branch that now bases its existence on alternative facts - aka lies - and the fools who go along with the bullsh1t. Restrict communication to the lying lies of the lying liar at the top of the chain and you have already thrown in the the towel on brains and free thought. You, Panabud have clearly decided to follow the Fool. Go right the f ahead. Don't expect respect from intelligent thoughtful folks in your commubity though. You won't get it. I really hope you are right about Trump providing well-paying jobs and lower cost for health insurance. God know both would make a lot of lives much better. The problem with providing well-paying jobs means having a skilled population to do them. Why do you think many companies recruit people from overseas to fill those jobs? Many of the people that voted for Trump just don't have the education or skills to do these jobs. Many of them will continue to have to survive on minimum wage jobs (Trumps against raising the minimum wage). I think some people actually think that if a company is hiring more people, that they can just walk into their employment office, fill out an application and it's a done deal. There's more to that and that's where is ignorance is. How bout instead of spending 54 billion on the military, Trump puts that money into training people to fill those high paying jobs. Now that's what I call making American great again, not pouring money into a military that can eliminate most countries in a heatbeat.

Not being politically correct is a good thing, but believing anything outside the mainstream just because it's anti-establishment is just stupid. And I think that Trumpeteers are naive and desperate, or misogynistic racist hillbillies. Take your pick. But they have done neither themselves nor the world a favour. Imagine - just imagine - the mentality of anyone who would be familiar with this Trump guy, and actually think he is a person worth admiring or respecting. Knowing his abysmal business record, his immaturity and narcissism, his disdain for women, his preening insecurities, his utter lack of sophistication, jeez I could go on for pages but my arms tire. Imagine the quality of judgement of people who find this troglodyte an appealing and worthy person! Listen to his speeches. Think about the level of his understanding of world affairs. Understand the lack of reality behind his silly promises. He promises to bring jobs back to America from China and Mexico, yet refuses to have his own products produced in America. He proposes to impoverish Mexicans by closing factories there, not realizing that Mexican immigration is currently, and has been, in negative numbers. By impoverishing his neighbour he will simply increase the pressure on illegal immigration. He bans visitors from nations whose people have never attacked inside America, but refuses to ban those from nations who HAVE attacked inside America but where he has business interests. He attcks the legitimacy of everyone who disagrees with him, frequently in a silly and peevish manner. He treats his wife publicly like a third class person. He does not hesitate to provoke divisions and hatreds among the people he is supposed to comfort and unite. I have never hears one single meaningful positive quality about this person. Eve Fox News has labelled him a Master Liar.

Some people will support anyone with a red tie. SAD

It's a shame that the idea of compromise is now considered a bad thing and shows weakness. It takes strength and a willingness to be open-minded to work together. No doubt matters could improve greatly if each side were to listen more to the other. But for me, it is difficult to listen respectfully to the views and policies of President Trump, when just about everything he says is the polar opposite of my own values and beliefs, and lowers the dignity of the office. I really feel a degree of shame on being accurately classified as one of the "haters", but I feel honour bound to resist the evil of what I perceive as being base bigotry and destructive policies. Because of this I do not believe that compromise is a viable or realistic solution to the Great Divide. I fear the coming clash of values will be violent. I am glad to be removed from it.

What I find interesting is that people who call President Trump a racist since he want's to screen immigrants want to retire in Panama which screens its incoming residents. If you have any arrests in your past you may be barred from obtaining a permanent residence visa in Panama where as if you're a murderer or a rapist you're offered free housing, food, healthcare, and education in the United States.

Cutbacks must be made nationwide in order to sustain an economy. The U.S. spending is north of immoral.

IMHO in order to bring down the U.S. debt, taxes have to be raised, gov has to cut costs in just about every area, including the EPA and Lake project(s) ... And the U.S. has to put a stop to other nations additional funding. One example being ... Canada pledged military personnel and equipment to the previous Iraq campaign, but the U.S. absorbed tthe maintanance costs of Canada's pledge. This is one reason why a demand has been made to NATO to ensure each country is held accountable to pay their share of costs.

Get real. Cuts to EPA are intended to fund The Wall (to no useful purpose) and a significant military build-up. This by a country that currently spends more on military than the next 5 biggest military spenders in total. How dumb is that? So the waterways get polluted and the military contractors get richer. You take your choices I guess. Canada will focus spending on improving the environment while the US focuses on war. Nothing different there.

Imagine - sending your children off to battle at the behest of The Donald. Think about it.

Back in the 1960's, in NYC, before. The EPA, acid rain destroyed plants and the Hudson was “little more than an extension of millions of toilets.” Oh, and it “snowed” ash from incinerated garbage.

One doesnt have to be a Trumpeteer or even like the guy (I dont) to realize how bad was the O'bama Administration and how corrupt was/is HIlliary and her philandering husband and the entire Clinton Foundation..........Face it Sunset.....it was a no win situation.........The U.S. is in deep kimchee as we say (or rather the Koreans) in Hawaii, and has been for quite some time......But the U.S. is sooo big that in some places you wouldnt even notice it.......You'd be tempted to think everything is rollin along just fine...........So it does depend on where you sit............But I predict it will soon be coast to coast and inescapable and unavoidable...........But as usual, I hope Im wrong........
