Looking for an opportunity

Hello:

I live in Nicaragua. I am a young architect. I am really interested in natural building, because I think is very interesting and ancient way of building using natural materials and from the surrounding. Sadly in my university background I didn´t learn about that and currently I have focused on researching on my own and gathering information to know and learning more about it. Unfortunately, I have lost a lot time looking for a place to volunteering and gaining experience. I know there are some places/ farms interested in receiving only "gringos volunteers" spending their vacations and with money to pay your own board and accommodation and also "free work", but I am not a "gringo on holiday" but an unemployed young" and I don´t find a job. In Nicaragua is very hard to find a paid job at least in architect position. For that I wanted to do a volunteer work in natural building like an option, because it will be a new experience for me but it was impossible...And I can not pay expensive workshops to learning....

Now, I would like to find a place or interested person in starting a new project with an holistic vision and where I can gain experience, put in practice my knowledge, improve my resume and starting to create my portfolio of projects. I have skills with CAD and Sketchup and with creativity all is possible...And I don`t find a job, practically I studied for nothing.

If you are really interested in creating a new project, please tell me your ideas. I could help you with plans and designs. Also, I would like to create my own project. It is all a challenge, but is the best solution. If you want help me with ideas, you will be very welcome.

I AM NOT INTERESTED IN PAID WORKSHOPS ABOUT NATURAL BUILDINGS
Thanks.

Nica, since most of the people on this board are retirees, I think you are better off writing, or better yet, calling architectural firms. Virtually all will be in the city. Paginas Amarillas might be a good web site to search from. Have you looked to see if there is an association of natural architects and builders? I will tell you that Panama is not a country that is known for being on the cutting edge.
