Gringo Invasion of Venezuela

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said today that the US Oval Office has given the order to assassinate him and blamed the head of parliament of his country, his opponent Julio Borges, for any "attack" against his life.

"They have given the order to assassinate the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the order comes from the Oval Office and Julio Borges is implicated in this outrage with his cynicism without limits, with his immorality without limits," said Maduro in a transmission through the channel state VTV.

Maduro had said on Tuesday that statements by his US counterpart, Donald Trump, during the UN General Assembly meant a death threat to his person.

During a meeting with the current governors that has chavismo in the country and with the aspirants to these positions, Maduro blamed Borges "for any act of violence against the republic and any act of attack" against his life ordered by "the presidency of Donald Trump".

"I know what I'm saying," he said. The Venezuelan head of state also pointed to the president of the parliament of "vendepatria" because, he said, "every day he says that Venezuela is a dictatorship" to "prepare the conditions for a gringo invasion, a coup d'etat" or for his murder.

He also indicated that it is "pride" for Trump to "attack" him. On Tuesday, during his speech at the UN General Assembly, Trump said Venezuela is "on the verge of total collapse," and said his country is ready to take further steps if President Maduro insists on "imposing an authoritarian regime ".

After this, the Venezuelan president indicated that the words of his counterpart meant a death threat to his person and pointed to him being "the new Hitler" of international politics.
