I'm considering Paraguay as a place to live. I understand it's warm enough to render heating useless. But what about the heat? Is it kind of humid or rather a pleasant dry? How about rains, or the rain season if there's one?

The seasons in Paraguay are the opposite of ours in North America. It's cold and rainy in July and August winter and hot as hell in December & January summer which is when the snakes come out of hibernation. Humidity is greater in rural swampy areas. If you buy or own land watch out for squatters.

Is the winter cold such as to have to heat the house? About those snakes: are they venomous?
