I would like to inquire if there are small furnished apartments for rent in Asuncion that rent for 4-500 a month? I am not interested in paying 1200. a month for a place to live. Any information on rentals would be greatly appreciated. Can one rent a motorbike by the month? How much? thank you, Jake

month to month proposal - http://clasipar.paraguay.com/departamentos_para_alquilar_edif_mburukuya__1170411.html You can get better deal is you pay in advance, a receipt is given. No need for year long contracts, and the locals have the habit to move a lot.

You posted a link to a rooming apartment that is SHARED, are you aware of that? He is looking for a private apartment. Try to find that without long term contract, not student places where you share your place with a bunch of people.

Spite your not the interested party, its obviously not a shared or student exclusive dormitory. While i was there, 3 families of germans where taking one level, py families from the countryside staying in capital where living there, foreigners and students was living on same building. Its furnished, private bathroom. kitchen and wi-fi. Expect more for that price? Anyways you not looking anymore for lodging there, thus why badmouthing ?

Whatever you save on apartment rent you will lose on the back end. For instance ATM fees, in Paraguay every time you use a foreign ATM card to retrieve your money its a $12-15 charge, $5 for their POS system, $5 from your Bank, plus 3% fee. Do this 5 times in a month and it will cost you $60!
