US Citizen living in Peru

Hi There,

I am moving to Lima in a couple of months. Currently I work as a private contractor doing web programming. Right now I am not incorporated, I just started out and have not yet done this. If I am doing work from primarily US customers I need an easy way from them to pay me. I was assuming using Citibank since they have locations in both the US and Peru. If my business is in the US and my bank is in the US, but I live and work from Lima, what would my tax responsibility be to the US? Can anyone suggest the best way to to this? My requirements are:

1. I am a US citizen living and working from home in Lima
2. My customers are U.S. citizens
3. They need to pay me from the US
4. I need to be able to easily withdrawel said funds from Lima
5. I need to account for my tax requirements in the US

Thanks for your time

I see that your message was posted along time ago. I just spent 3 enjoyable weeks in northern Peru and want to immigrate and retire in the Trujillo area. I want to hear from others that have made the move.
