Meeting expats in Lima

I am in the process of moving from Toronto, Canada to Peru, where I would like to set up a business. I am in Mexico at the moment but will return in mid march to Lima. I would like to meet other expats in similar situations to exchange ideas, experiences. I am a single woman and I am living with a wonderful Peruvian family where I am trying to master Spanish feverishly.
I would like to be acquanted with a few people before I get back there. If any of you are interested please drop me a line.

I lived in many different parts of the world, gladly share experiences/info.

As a former New Yorker and living in Lima Peru,I can tell you from the few posts,there are not too many expats living here compared to Panama Mexico Ecuador and Costa Rica.

Hi Maria:

Be careful about setting up a business in Peru...there is lots of red tape.

A lawer would help and his fees would not be so high compared to the problems you may encounter without having a business permit.
