In July, I will leaving for Peru on a year-long exchange program through rotary, and I'm looking for trinkets to bring the families I will be staying with. What American items could i bring for my host families?

The Peruvian families that I know appreciate pictures of real American life, not the America seen on TV and movies (which is all they get to see on their own for the most part). Another interesting trinket I've brought is real maple syrup, maple cream, and maple butter. The only lookalikes of maple syrup don't taste like it at all. Some older men appreciate pin on medallions. Some people value paraphernalia related to Disney movies, Disney World, and stars and celebrities.
