yes. I've eaten Cuy twice. The first time was revolting for me; I couldn't get past the idea that it was a rat on my plate, and I immediately stated rearranging it with knife and fork to make it look like something else. The waiter came over and told me it was impolite to cut up the Cuy with anything other than my fingers. I didn't like the taste, very gamey. The second time, the animal had been cooked flat on a stick. The meat was well cooked, smoked and dry, chewy, tough. It wasn't much different than smoked turkey.
