Is it true that in The US when a household appliance; whether it is a TV set or a refrigerator, etc breaks down, you guys, decide to buy a new one instead of having it repaired? How true is this? And what is it like in your country, share it with us!

It depends on how old. Most appliances come with a 1yr, and you can usually buy a 3yr warranty, for about 10% of the cost of the unit. After that, it depends on the unit, if its a washer or dryer, we replace the belt or motor. If its anything else, yeah, we probably try to sell it in a yard sale, heave it, or put it in the garage, and get another one. It's costs a little more but its better than having someone harang you about it for months.
